Yours Could Be Next

If you’re out enjoying the summer Yorklands, consider visiting our exhibit of Yorklands-inspired art on display at Guelph’s East End Library during August (1 Starwood Rd). It showcases a few of many beautiful multi-media artworks done over the years at Yorklands Green Hub’s Plein Air events, and promoted at our annual Artspiration art shows.

We’d like to see this nature-inspired art continue. We invite you to participate in an informal plein air at Yorklands. Come anytime to sketch, paint, photograph, journal – be inspired to create! Come on your own, or gather a group and enjoy the experience together.

Come for plein air and find your muse.

The library artworks will be changed out as your ready-to-hang creations become available. Submit your work before August 28 to be displayed at the East Side Library during the month of September. There is no cost to partici-pate. The library show is a display only: artists can leave contact information if they wish to sell their work.

This initiative is in support of the Urban Park Guelph proposal through Yorklands Green Hub. We encourage all our readers to enjoy the site – be creative on site! – support our work, and be part of the campaign to make this special place a protected part of Guelph’s and Canada’s environmental heritage.
