In our efforts to preserve the site we need your voice.

Guelph City Council will be considering the Ontario Reformatory Heritage Conservation District (HCD) Study and recommended boundary at the Council Planning meeting on March 21st, 2023.

The recommended boundary (see map) for the HCD was expanded in response to public feedback, much of it from YGH members.

We have not yet seen the HCD study but expect that it will recommend moving to Phase 2, which entails detailed planning for the HCD. 

Please take this opportunity to remind Mayor Guthrie and Council of your support for the Ontario Reformatory Cultural Heritage District by sending them a note to advise them that you support the recommended boundary for the HCD and encourage Council to direct that Phase 2 of the HCD Study proceed expeditiously.
