We are so proud of our volunteer facilitators, Greg Stojanovski, Seana Dawon, Amy Ellard-Gray, Ramzi Al Halaby, and Meg Lewis, for delivering our school-based stewardship-focused programs, Foodsters and Pollinator Power. With fantastic guidance from our Environmental Education Advisory Committee (EEAC), this spring’s programming was a great success.
Tree Planting: Reep Green Solutions
Reep Green Solutions, an environmental non-profit based in Kitchener that offers a native tree planting program for residential property owners in Guelph, wishes to share the following message with the Yorklands community:
Toxic Trivia
On July 9, at the Red Chevron Club, 34 Elizabeth St. Guelph, 7:30-9:30pm, you can play Toxic Trivia. Doors open at 7pm. Please register for this event by using the QR code on the poster.
Toxic Trivia has been created by 350.org and the Small Change Fund. It’s a fun and engaging way to challenge the misinformation that is part of Big Oil’s propaganda machine.

National Indigenous History Month
The Yorklands Green Hub wishes to honour the diverse, rich cultures of the First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples. June is a month to recognize our shared past and celebrate ongoing Indigenous contributions, which continue to shape Canada to this day.
YGH is striving to work with our Indigenous partners toward integrating both the Indigenous heritage of the Yorklands (OR) property as well as the wise approaches of caring for the land into our programming and our narratives.
Yorklands is pleased to introduce our new Volunteer Coordinator, Aditi Sharma. If you cross paths with Aditi, please make sure to give her a warm welcome!
