  • Plein Air
    Yorklands Green Hub is inviting all artists to the Yorklands site. You are also invited to come any time in June. Check in at the main gate — Yorklands volunteers are present only on June 6 or 7. World Environment Day is Friday June 5. Come and celebrate the land and reflect on how we can protect nature. Completed art will be displayed and offered for sale at the East Side Branch of the Guelph Public Library in December 2026!
  • Birdwatching for Beginners at the Guelph Arboretum
    Join Pedro Hernandez of Outdoor Commute at the University of Guelph Arboretum for an introduction to birdwatching. A 30 minute lesson will be followed by a guided walk through the Arboretum learning to identify birds and their habitat. Binoculars are provided. All ages are welcome!
  • The City Nature Challenge
    Whether you went for a hike, attended a training session, or captured a photo of wildlife in the park, the Yorklands Green Hub wishes to thank everyone involved with the City Nature Challenge. Yorklands is grateful to all the local organizations that led CNC events, including the Arboretum, Nature Guelph, Bird Safe Guelph, The Wildflower Society, Freshwater Conservation Canada, The Ignatius Jesuit Centre, Guelph Public Library, rare Charitable Research Reserve, Royal City Science, and more.
  • Bird Walk 
    Come discover the vibrant birdlife at Yorklands. Participants are encouraged to meet on-site at 8:00am at the Route 4 Bus Stop (785 York Rd., Guelph). From there, we’ll wander through the site, identify, and listen to the birds flying, perching, and singing through the greenspace. Whether you’re an experienced birder or simply curious, this walk offers a welcoming and informative experience.
