ecmunson – Photographer/Artist/Writer

ecmunson reignited her love for photography in 2018, newly in the “third chapter” of her
life. Finding like-minded people and places to display work led to her joining several arts
organizations: Latow Photgraphy Guild, Credit Valley Artisans, Headwaters Arts, Beaux Arts Brampton, and Arts on the Credit, to name a few.

Currently living in Brampton, she feels most at home in the hills and countryside, reminiscent of the Finger Lakes area where she grew up on a dairy farm. Driving and photographing through the valleys and hills, taking in the roll of the land, the vast sweeps of fields and sky, grounded her during the pandemic crisis.

Passionate about all things photography, she has built five darkrooms over the years and melds the analogue with digital world in her arts practice, which also includes soft pastel painting, writing workshops, and work as a creative-animateur.

An active participant in the local arts scene, she writes articles for various newsletters and two online news media, sits on two boards, and contributes to the initiatives of various groups.

ecmunson works out of the Jackson & Munson Studio Gallery, in the historic White Church at 15962 Mississauga Road, Terra Cotta ON L7C 1X8  just 4 minutes south of Belfountain; opening October 9, Thanksgiving weekend.                IG – @ecm4u2
