We are pleased to invite you to take a trip through the past, the present and our dream for the future of a local landmark. The Guelph Civic Museum’s entry foyer display case showcases the 100 or so years of the history of the Yorklands site, former home of the Ontario Reformatory, Speedwell Hospital and Guelph Correctional Centre. Our heartfelt thanks to Kathleen Wall for her expertise in helping us put this display together.
The Museum is open until 5:00 each day, with free admission after 5:00 on every fourth Friday of the month.
To celebrate Canada at 150 and Guelph at 190, Guelph Museums presents Fourth Friday: Oh Canada Concert Series. Kick off your weekend with a performance at 7:00 by The Cocksure Lads – Mike Ford and Murray Foster.
Visitors can explore all exhibitions, including To The Gathering Place, Canadian Eh? and Wall of Art: Standing Guard.
